The machine’s efficiency is optimized by a continuous feed of material at 65% to 85% solids, following which a Fine Material Washer is recommended for further processing. Eagle Iron Works Coarse Material Washers are engineered to clean rock efficiently by removing deleterious materials from gravel or crushed stone feeds. These machines offer light to moderate scrubbing, effectively eliminating soluble clays and dust coatings typically found in natural and crushed stone applications. Featuring an arrangement of alternating spiral flights and paddles on the conveyor shaft, the washers scrub and break down clays or crusher dust attached to feed particles. The design allows for the removal of these undesirable materials via a rising current of water that overflows the weirs. Available in single or double screw configurations to suit various capacity requirements, the largest model features a 48” x 24’ Double Screw with a capacity of 500-600 tph. These units are equipped with either a heavy-duty gear reducer or a standard Dodge reducer. The adjustable end weir enhances the washer's ability to discard lightweight deleterious materials, such as twigs and coal, ensuring a clean end product.
