It was the trained watchmaker and inventor Hans Schmidbauer who revolutionised the watch industry in 1948 with the world`s first watch movement cleaning machine, the Elma Super Elite. The company`s core competences lie in ultrasonic and steam cleaning, where it is the market leader. In the in-house process laboratory, highly qualified process engineers work together with customers to develop process solutions for individual cleaning tasks, which then result in a customised system concept including cleaning processes and chemicals. Today, there is probably not a watchmaker in the world who does not know Elma.
