SAFIRA is our automated sterile filter integrity test. The SAFIRA-System is used to verify the integrity of sterile filters. It provides a Hands-free inline sterile filter test in distribution lines. We have developed a method, which makes it possible to test the filter integrity immediately after a radiopharmaceutical synthesis without exposing the operator to radiation. SAFIRA can be implemented in existing radiopharmaceutical installations. Up to 3 detection satellites can be controlled by one interface. The stand-alone version can be adapted to any PET synthesizer.
