Emiflex - Water Hose
The operating temperature of the joints is estimated to be within the range of -55°C to +250°C. For the joints with the protective sheathing the maximum temperature is +120"C. For any applications with temperatures lower or higher than those indicated, please contact our technical staff.
Industrial Sector
Emiflex - Expansion Joints
Emiflex expansion joints are designed and manufactured to provide highly flexible absorption of movement in different piping segments,
machines or devices in general. Movements requiring compensation can be caused by numerous factors including temperature, inertia, caving floors, misalignment. The potential fields of application are vast and cover the entire industrial spectrum.
Emiflex - Bellows Joint
Bellows are the key component of an Emiflex joint. It is defined as a highly flexible metal element that resists pressure. Bellows are obtained by a mechanical or hydraulic cold forming process. The austhenitic stainless steel is longitudinally welded using theT.I.G. welding method and the bellows are shaped into a serious of parallel corrugations. To achieve maximum flexibility coupled with the required resistance to pressure, bellows are formed with multiple walls using a number of concentric cylinders of stainless steel, each longitudinally welded. In this way, all the walls contribute to providing pressure resistance, while flexibility is ensured by the reduced thickness of each wall.
Emiflex - Standard Expansion Joint
The standard expansion joints are designed and classified for Nominal Pressure PN, which can be defined as the operating pressure at room temperature (20°C). Because higher temperatures reduce resistance of the materials, the pressure tolerable as the temperature rises must be reduced accordingly.
Emiflex - Reaction Force Expansion Joint
Since they are elastic components, the bellows react to movement much in the same way as a spring that requires force to be compressed or stretched. Elastic reaction of the bellows is identified in terms of quantity by the Elastic Rigidity, definable as the force the bellows need for their unitary deformation.
