Building Capacity to Manage Pressure Training
This online course is a result of a creative sentencing project in partnership with the Alberta Government and an oil and gas well servicing company. Serious incidents, like this tragic pressure incident, are often complex and involve several factors. These factors may not be immediately evident and can lead to an overly simplified understanding of how an incident occurred and what follow-up actions are needed. This course takes the student on a journey to better understand how successful work gets done and what it takes to make the next step change in performance.
Cathodic Protection Rectifier Training
This course teaches cathodic protection technicians how to safely work with a cathodic protection rectifier.
Certified Health and Safety Auditor Program Training
This course instructs health and safety professionals who have management and/or supervisory experience, how to conduct safety management system audits.
Coiled Tubing Well Servicing Blowout Prevention Training
This course is designed for coiled tubing personnel, service rig drillers and managers and wellsite supervisors involved in coiled tubing well servicing and well control operations.
Common Safety Orientation Training
This online course provides new workers with safety messaging that explains safe work practices and how to recognize and address hazards in the workplace. The course is designed to eliminate the need for redundant general orientation training by covering common workplace safety information. Participants will learn the 10 Life Saving Rules, emergency preparedness and response procedures, and how to report both incidents and near misses. CSO is available online or in the classroom. The online version is available for access on any computer that has a webcam
Confined Space Entry and Monitor Training
Confined space work involves some of the most critical hazards in the oil and gas industry. This course is offered online or in classroom through the Energy Safety Canada Authorized Training Provider (ATP) network. This training teaches participants to identify, understand and mitigate the potential hazards of working in restricted and confined spaces. Developed using the Canadian Standards Association’s Z1006-16 Management of Work in Confined Spaces and the Canadian Association of Oil and Gas Producers’ Code of Practice for Confined Space.
