Economy Type 1 Turbidity Curtains, also known as Turbidity Barriers are designed and manufactured specifically for controlling silt and sediment in calm water applications such as small ponds, small lakes, canals and waterways with light wind and or current. Economy Type 1 Turbidity Curtains are mostly used by installers and contractors working around or nearby a body of water to control and confine silt / sediment to an immediate work area, thereby preventing it from floating down stream and affecting marine life.

Enviro-USA’s Type 3 DOT Heavy Duty / Tidal Water, Permeable & Non-Permeable Floating Silt Barriers are ideal for contractors needing to comply with DOT SILT CONTROL REQUIREMENTS in applications where they will encounter rough waters, tidal changes, strong winds and currents. The preferred by most Dredgers. Ideal for Harbors, Ports, Shorelines and Offshore.

This Enviro-USA floating silt curtain is ideal for containing silt and controlling turbidity in Tidal applications where wind, current and tide changes require a heavy duty, dual cable barrier. Floating Turbidity Barriers are used to control and contain silt and sediment within an immediate work area thereby preventing anything from floating outside of the dredging area and affecting marine life. Floating Turbidity Barriers protect our waters and environment. Type 3 DOT Heavy Duty / Tidal Water Floating Turbidity Barriers are normally used by Dredging Contractors working in PORTS and surrounding waters.

4″ freeboard and 6″ draft – Available with or without a top tension cable. Most commonly boom used by RIVER responders in Central & Western United States. Ideal for Calm Water & Light Current applications such as ponds, streams, waterways, inland marinas and rivers. Cable is required if current is strong and/or it’s windy.

6″ freeboard and 6″ draft with a top tension cable. Ideal for rivers with strong currents. Most commonly boom used by Strong Current River Responders in Central & Western United States. The bigger float prevents splashover due to strong currents, windy conditions and choppy water. Perfect for diverting oil spills in rough conditions.

6″ freeboard and 12″ draft Available with or without a top tension cable. 19″ Oil Containment Boom is the most common used size for first response and long term oil spill clean-up. Widely used by contract emergency response companies. Works well in Ports, Marinas, Bays, Harbors, inlets and just about any inland body of water.

8″ freeboard and 16″ draft with a top tension cable. Highly recommended by Port Authorities as the appropriate size for Unprotected Ports due to its bigger float which offers a higher freeboard that will prevent splash over due to windy conditions and choppy water. Can be used in Unprotected Marinas, Harbors, Gulfs and beaches.

10″ freeboard and 20″ draft with a top tension cable. Ideal for Coastlines and Unprotected Ports as it offers a high freeboard and good skirt depth. The bigger float will prevent splash over due to waves breaking, windy conditions and choppy water. Most commonly used for Unprotected Ports, Harbors, Gulfs, Beaches and Coastlines.

12″ freeboard and 24″ draft with a top tension cable. Ideal for Offshore loading or offloading operations. A high freeboard protects against splashover due to waves, windy conditions and choppy water and a deep skirt prevents oil from escaping below skirt. Can also be used for Unprotected Ports, Harbors, Gulfs, Beaches and Coastlines.
