Enviro-Vac is a charter member of the advisory committee for National Standards and a director & member of the Hazardous Materials Association (HMA). Enviro-Vac have been instrumental in developing and establishing regulatory controls for asbestos abatement, lead paint removal, lead coating abatement, mould remediation and mercury abatement in Canada and have contributed considerable expertise and time to the development and implementation of various environmental standards manuals & safety training programs including several years attendance as a contributing member for asbestos standards & policies committee of the Workers Compensation Board.

Most building owners and General Contractor’s (GC), including many asbestos abatement contractors insurance policies specifically exclude asbestos and other hazardous materials from their insurance policies, so in a situation where a claim occurs you or your GC may not be covered and could be vulnerable. There are many instances where this exact situation has caused a GC and a building owner to take a significant financial loss.
