Services - Summary

EPA TO-15 Volatile Organic Compounds

EAS offers many options for VOC analysis by TO-15, TO-15 SIM, TO-14, and TO-17.  Check into a combined TO-15 Full Scan and TO-15 SIM for projects that have a few compounds need low detection limits.

Hydrocarbon Testing Services

EAS has several methods for Hydrocarbon testing in Air and Gas Samples.

Semi-Volatile Organic Compound Analytical Methods

Semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOC) cannot be collected in a SUMMA canister because their vapor pressure is low and they attach themselves to the canister surfaces by a undefined mechanism. SVOC`s in ambient and indoor air samples are collected on a sorbent cartridge made of polyethylene foam (PUF) or a combination of PUF and XAD-2 resin.

Greenhouse Gas Methods

Environmental Analytical Service has been providing analytical services to the indoor air quality professional for over 25 years.

Summa Pasivated Canisters

EAS pioneered the use of the SUMMA Canister in the independent commercial air testing market back in 1985.  EAS has a large inventory of canisters and flow controllers that can be shipped either batch certified or individually certified.   Canisters are expensive to purchase so many labs suggest sorbent tubes or bags for samples that would be better collected in canisters because they lack the canister inventory.  The cleaning and usage fees of the canister are comparable to the tubes and bags - especially when you consider the convenience of the canister.

Gas Sampling Bags

Tedlar bags which have been used for years for air sampling are on longer available since DuPont has quit making  the Tedlar material.  Most companies have substituted an alternative materials for the gas sampling bags, but none of them has the universal properties of Tedlar.  It is important to select the bag type that will work for your application.  This summary of the bag types is based on the SKC Catalog.
