A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment

A site visit and evaluation with personal interviews, which identify possible past, present, or potential environmental concerns or risks including hazardous waste storage or spills, impoundments, septic systems, leach beds, drums, containers, hazardous substance or petroleum-product use, etc.;

Asbestos Consulting Services

EAC routinely provides services related to identifying Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) and managing ACM in place as part of an O & M Plan. EAC"s staff (EPA Accredited Asbestos Surveyor"s and Licensed Asbestos Consultants) have the knowledge, expertise, and experience required to provide a full range of asbestos services and consulting. Asbestos services may consist of sampling suspect materials, providing laboratory analysis of materials (PLM, PCM, and Point Counting), writing Operations and Maintenance Plans (O & M) as well as compiling the final technical asbestos report. Asbestos Consulting does not end upon delivery of the final report, however. Upon the positive identification of ACM within a structure, EAC then works diligently with client to assure that a competent Asbestos Abatement Contractor is selected to remove and properly dispose of the ACM in accordance with all State and Federal Guidelines.

Phase II Environmental Site Assessment

Soil sampling combined with laboratory analyses in order to identify suspected contaminants in the soil at the site. Soil borings in conjunction with Organic Volatile Aromatic (OVA) vapor screening; Installation of temporary or permanent monitor wells allowing the collection of groundwater samples for laboratory analyses to identify suspected contaminants; Hazardous substance and sludge analyses; and, Lead in drinking water surveys.

Contamination Assessments/Tank Closures

EAC"s environmental professionals are highly trained, and qualified to perform Underground Storage Tank Closures and conduct Contamination Assessments (CA) for petroleum handling facilities that are governed by Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.) Chapters 62-770, 62-761 and 62-762 Upon initiation of a formal Contamination Assessment or Tank Closure, EAC geologists and technicians would supervise and manage all field activities, compile field data and draft the assessment or closure report that would be ultimately submitted to the respective government agencies. All field activities performed in conjunction with a Contamination Assessment or Tank Closure are performed in accordance with Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Guidelines and EAC"s Quality Assurance Plan (QAP #93-0135G) which is approved and on file with the FDEP in Tallahassee, Florida.

Remediation Contracting / Petroleum Contamination Cleanup / Site Rehabilitation

EAC is a Florida Department Of Environmental Protection approved Cleanup Contractor (FDEP Contractor I.D.# 00786) with approximately 55 petroleum contaminated site"s under management within the State of Florida Petroleum Cleanup Program (Inland Protection Trust Fund sites). EAC is a Licensed Geologic and Engineering Firm in the State of Florida and is highly skilled in assessing dissolved and free phase petroleum plumes in the aquifer. EAC also has considerable experience with in-site petroleum cleanup at active businesses such as gasoline stations and other facilities, via the installation of remedial systems such as Air Sparge (AS) / Vapor Extraction Systems (VES). Biological enzyme augmentation is also introduced in the above scenarios to expedite the cleanup of groundwater. EAC has also managed over 2 dozen sites where Source Removal Excavations combined with Open-Hole Air Sparging was utilized to rehabilitate the property.
