Coarse bubble diffuser systems offer moderate oxygen transfer efficiency and low maintenance with aggressive mixing, providing circulation and turbulence that ensures the entire water column is mixed adequately and sludge accumulation is limited. They are a very robust solution, with no moving parts in the water and orifices that are less prone to clogging than other forms of aeration.

Material Features: Clog resistant, large diameter diffuser elements with above water air distribution piping. 1” & 2” nominal pipe sizes available. Turbulent mixing with multiple shear planes and edge contours to fragment bubbles for maximum efficiency. High bubble shear for maximum mixing. Low maintenance. ABS—non-corrosive construction.

The EDI CoarsAir MaxAir PVC or CPVC Diffusers offer efficient mixing for demanding applications such as aerobic digesters or industrial wastewater treatment. The CoarsAir MaxAir PVC diffuser can withstand abrasion and is resistant to most inorganic substances, diluted acids, alkalis, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. The CoarsAir MaxAir CPVC diffuser offers outstanding long-term resistance to corrosive chemicals or seawater, even at high temperatures, and can efficiently withstand most acids, bases, salts, and other aggressive chemicals.
