Assessment/Remediation of Petroleum Releases Services
Provided assessment/remediation for control and abatement of petroleum hydrocarbons at petroleum storage and conveyance facilities, including refineries, bulk storage terminals and service stations in California, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Developed innovative concepts to optimize both assessment and remediation efforts.
Environmental Process Outsourcing (EPO)
Environmental Process Outsourcing (EPO) is a unique service developed by EIC Environmental Services to assist our clients in specifically outsourcing environmental tasks. EPO was developed to provide focused environmental support to both private firms and government agencies. allowing our clients to focus on their core competence while ensuring that the environmental requirements of the business are addressed in a timely manner utilizing the most cost-effective technical resources. What distinguishes EPO™ services between traditional BPO(Business Process Outsourcing) services is that EPO™ provides clients with intellectual outsourcing of specific environmental tasks.
Environmental Site Assessments Service
Conducted environmental site assessments related to property acquisition at several industrial facilities in New York, Mississippi, South Carolina, Georgia and Missouri. Conducted Phase I environmental audits to identify areas of concern. Conducted Phase II audits at selected locations to investigate the areas of concern. Developed and implemented methods to remediate contaminated waste materials.
Environmental Regulations and Compliance Service
EIC has successfully reviewed numerous sites for compliance with federal and state environmental regulations. Some EIC personnel assisted state and federal regulatory agencies in drafting new environmental regulations in various areas. Having served as field inspectors under contract with EPA, EIC personnel have a thorough knowledge of environmental regulations in broad geographic area both within the USA and abroad.
Bioremediation Service
Conducted long-term microcosm tests to evaluate the biodegradation potential of BTEX constituents in shallow aquifer material in Oklahoma. The project was partially funded by the USEPA.
Hazardous Waste Management Service
Provided technical support in the permitting and closure of incinerator used to process hazardous and solid wastes at an industrial facility in Illinois. The incinerator was subjected to closure under the Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations for processing hazardous wastes. Assisted the industrial facility in obtaining a permit to continue use of the incinerator to process solid wastes.
Modeling Service
Utilized various modeling programs to evaluate the subsurface hydro geological processes in the transportation of petroleum and chemical releases. Verified modeling data provided by other consulting firms in substantiating environmental claims involving litigation.
