2006

Jim Weaver launched the business in 2006, with the opening of a storage facility for coal ash and lime kiln dust (LKD) in Warren, MT.

2009

A cutting edge ash blending and bagging facility was opened in Billings, MT. The facility houses an ash silo that holds 100 tons of ash. The silo quickly fills one-ton ENVIRO DRY® super sack bags that are loaded and shipped on a fleet of flat-bed trailers for transport.

2010

An ash load out building was added to the facility in 2010 to protect from inclement weather. Worker safety is the main priority at the bagging facility.

2011

Exciting growth occurred in January 2011, when EMI merged with Pro Energy. The merger helped expand EMI’s ash sales to additional customers in the ND Bakken Oil Fields and WY. Pro Energy offers state-of-the-art Cutting Processing Units that mix drill cuttings with EMI’s ENVIRO DRY®.

2012

Pinnacle services is started and signs a contract to operate Chimney Butte Environmental, a special waste facility located on near Fairfield, ND on Hwy 85.

2013

EMI builds a state of the art automated bagging facility with eight acres and 500 tons of bulk storage capacity in Killdeer, ND. The addition of this facility increases the potential to continue to be a market leader in product quality and customer service.

2014

EMI successfully sells solids control business unit with Cutting Processing Units and equipment

2015

EMI partners with Dakota Blu to provide dirty fluids disposal at the Berg well near Powers Lake, ND

2016

EMI expands fluids disposal to exclusively work with Bullrock LLC to market the Alfred Brown SWD near Keene, ND
