EPE is active since 1987 in the field of hazardous and non-hazardous waste management. Highly experienced, scientific and technical personnel, equipped with state-of-the-art technical means, are qualified to offer premium integrated waste management services. EPE’s subsidiary Polyeco SA located in Aspropyrgos, Greece, is the only fully licensed facility in the country offering complete services in industrial and ship-generated waste management. Through its global service operator Polyeco Group, EPE offers a full spectrum of services including recovery, remediation, waste management and final disposal services across five continents with 20 operating entities.

(EPE) collects and manages ship-generated solid waste and cargo residues, as described under Annexes I, II V & VI of the International Convention Marpol 73/78. Our experience in ship-generated waste management, along with the qualified and trained personnel, guarantee the quality of our services.Our company is fully licensed and implements the best environmental practices for waste management, based on Circular Economy and the Waste Hierarchy Approaches (Waste prevention – Minimization – Reuse – Recycle – Energy Recovery – Disposal).

Ships over 500GT flying the flag of a Member State or the flag of a third country calling on European Ports, must carry on board a ship-specific Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) and a valid certification which will be subject to Port State controls.

"Distressed cargo" is cargo of ships that failed to reach their destination in time or in the expected condition, resulting in its deterioration and possible abandonment. Where a cargo has been unable to reach its destination due to a casualty, EPE will find the best solution for each problem. Our experts will survey the cargo and will offer the best possible solution to Cargo Carriers, Shipowners, Marine Salvage companies, Insurance Companies, which will maximize the value of recoverable assets.
