Environmental Protection UK is a national charity that provides expert policy analysis and information on air quality, land quality and noise. Its members are environmental experts, who, as practitioners, investigators or advisors, have considerable experience of the practical side of environmental protection. They include local authorities, universities, industries, consultants and private individuals. EPUK promotes evidence-based and integrated policymaking across a wide range of issues including public health, planning, transport, energy and climate. EPUK believes that the development of effective policy depends crucially on the experiences of those who implement it and, through its close and active links to Government, EPUK provides its members with channels for their contributions.

About Us
EPUK promotes evidence-based and integrated policymaking across a wide range of issues including public health, planning, transport, energy and climate. Through its extensive cross sector membership, EPUK offers clear and critical analysis of UK Government, and international policies. It delivers a range of high-quality publications and expert-led events, as well as up-to-date regulatory information through Essential Environment, a comprehensive guide to UK and EU environmental legislation.
EPUK has have close working relationships with DEFRA and DCLG staff and is highly regarded through its representation on both the European Federation of Clean Air & Environmental Protection Associations (EFCA) and the International Union of Air Pollution and Environmental Protection Associations (IUAPPA).
EPUK is not a regulatory authority and is unable to intervene on behalf of any individual or group to deal with any complaints concerning air pollution, noise, contaminated land or any other environmental issue. Any complaints should be directed to your local authority or the Environment Agency.
