EWI has completed numerous Brownfield revitalization projects under a variety of working relationships. Our experience includes hundreds of site restoration initiatives, in addition to government contract work under the EPA, States of Missouri and Kansas, and City of Springfield, Missouri Brownfields Programs.

EWI’s Environmental Due Diligence team includes licensed and accredited lead-based paint (LBP) and asbestos-containing material (ACM) inspectors qualified to perform building surveys and associated building material sampling. These services are offered in support of various client projects that require building renovation, demolition, and other similar site restoration activities.

A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESAs) is performed in accordance with the EPA All Appropriate Inquiry (AAI) Rule and ASTM Standard E 1527-05 and are designed to identify potential environmental liability associated with the current and historical use of the property and adjoining properties.

EWI offers a variety of waste management services which include: general waste management consulting, waste characterization, packaging and labeling, and disposal of hazardous, universal, and special wastes.

We use an array of proven and innovative sampling techniques and equipment to investigate environmental problems, including the nature, extent, fate, and migration of contaminants in environmental media.

Risk assessments are a key component of many environmental regulatory decisions and are often mandated by regulators as part of the site evaluation process. The results of risk assessments often drive the need for remedial actions and support the derivation of cleanup levels.

EWI’s Emergency Response program has been providing exceptional service since 1992. EWI has responded to spills ranging from 10 gallons of diesel fuel from an above-ground storage tank to thousands of gallons of hazardous materials.
