Sheet Metal Testing
Erichsen - Sheet Metal Testing Machine
This hand-operated testing machine is used to determine the deep-draw properties of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It uses the ERICHSEN deep-draw test on sheets and strips from 0.1 to 1.5 mm thickness (400 N/mm² tensile strength) as well as on foils with a minimum thickness of 0.005 mm. This machine is easy to use so it is well suited for use in facilities requiring low levels of sheet metal forming for thinner materials.

The Lacquer and Paint Testing Machine, Model 200, is a bench-mounted unit with a cast iron machine body and a cylindrical test head. Model 200 is used for the ERICHSEN CUPPING TEST in accordance with DIN ISO 1520, ISO 1520, BS 3900 : Part E4, NF T 30-019 und SIS 18 41 77 on coated sheet metal, with a tensile strength of 400 N/mm², up to 1.25 mm thick and from 70 - 90 mm wide.

Lacquer and Paint Testing Machine, Model 202 EM, with electromotive drive, equipped with a laterally opened test head, test tool in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1520, electric installation for connecting the illumination of the microscope as well as a digital display for the acquisition of the ERICHSEN cupping value, with integrated preselection counter for setting the maximum cupping value required. The machine is operated via touch panel.
Erichsen - Lacquer and Paint Testing Machine
Fully automatic cupping and deep-draw testing machine for testing the ductility of coated ferrous and non-ferrous metals (such as coil coatings, painted, plastic-coated or galvanized materials). This testing machine is electro-hydraulically driven and has a maximum pulling force of 200 kN. This testing machine is equipped with digital displays for reading the drawing and blank holding force, as well as the drawing stamp travel. During the production of thermo-formed products, the materials are deformed along all three coordinate planes. In order to avoid any subsequent corrosion damage, the surface coating must not be damaged. The 242-Basic Model is well suited for using with sheet metal thickness ranging from 0.2 mm to 4.0 mm, for the standard inspections and verifications required for quality assurance.

The PHYSIMETER 906 USB measuring device is used to record mechanical variables based on strain gauge sensors. Two different versions are available: The PHYSIMETER® 906 USB with a built-in force transducer and the PHYSIMETER® 906 USB configured to connect to an external sensor. There are three micro-batteries (type LR03) or alternatively the plug-in power supply. Data is transferred from the PHYSIMETER® to the PC using a USB interface (the USB cable is included). The measurement and evaluation software PHYSISOFT 906 USB is available as a free download at www.erichsen.de/service/downloads.
