Eurobent is one of the leading producers of Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCL) in the world. GCL is a liner which incorporates bentonite which swells on contact with water. Eurobent has two production plants: one located in Świdnica (South West Poland), and the second, since 2015, in Xanthi (North East Greece). The Greek plant is a Joint Venture project in cooperation with Thrace Plastics. Our company carries out its work fairly, at all times with customer satisfaction in mind, and with special care for the natural environment. We are also producer of Sand Mat (filtration liner) and concrete liner TILTEX which is a flexible liner composed of a sand-cement mix embedded between 2 geotextiles. After hydration, it becomes hard and forms a rigid and resistant concrete slab that gets the shape of a subgrade.Their characteristics made these products useful for ground structure reinforcement, ground stabilization, slope stabilization and erosion control.

About Geosynthetic Clay Liner
The abbreviation GCL stands for Geosynthetic Clay Liner. It’s a factory-manufactured hydraulic barrier which incorporates bentonite, a mineral clay which swells on contact with water. A typical GCL consists of two layers of geosynthetic textiles needle-punched together, enclosing a layer of bentonite.
GCL application
Geosynthetic clay barriers are mainly used in such fields as landfill base and capping, mining, environmental isolations and construction waterproofing. Various types of GCL can be used in tank storage sites, flat roofs, basements, canals and storage reservoirs, filtering reservoirs, run-off basins or roads leading through environmentally sensitive areas.

Our Methods
The proper functioning of our laboratory is based on the usage of methods derived from the highest international market standards. Each of our products is thoroughly tested before market launch.
At Eurobent, we monitor the quality of our products at every stage of their lifecycle.
Furthermore, our internal Quality Control regulations are based on European Community (CE) regulations and management system based on standards ISO 9001 and 14001. Sources of supplied materials are proven, and the manufacturers of raw material have their own control management system confirmed with an appropriate certificates. All data are monitored and evaluated periodically.
