MBRable membrane modules are specially designed for use in aerobic membrane bioreactors for both municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. They can be easily installed on existing bioreactors, rising to four times its purification capacity and providing high quality treated water, being in many cases suitable for reuse. As a result of more than 10 years of experience implementing membrane bioreactors, Europe Membrane offers its customers the product named MBRable train consisting of prefabricated ultrafiltration MBR units ready to use. These units are designed to be energy efficient and very safe. An MBR is a biological purification treatment by activated sludge, which incorporates a membrane for separating clarified water and sludge, obtaining very high quality purified water. An activated sludge reactor needs biodegrable matter, micro nutrients and an external oxygen source, in addition to stable temperature conditions, all to induce the development of microorganisms able to assimilate organic matter transforming it into insoluble microorganisms that can be removed.
