FALCO - Catalytic Oxidizer

The FALCO 600 with dilution blower and variable frequency drive is the ideal solution for industrial vapor treatment. Process vapors are captured and efficiently destroyed by catalytic oxidation. Startup and operation are fully automatic. Temperature controllers accurately regulate inlet concentrations by adjusting dilution blower speed. Speed is increased during high mass flow of hydrocarbon and slows during low mass flow or at standby to save energy. Automatic shutdown results if temperatures exceed limits. The FALCO 600 has an efficient spiral plate heat exchanger. A bypass valve automatically increases heat recovery during low concentration operation and standby, and reduces heat recovery to accommodate high concentrations.

High heat recovery minimizes energy use during operation at low input vapor concentration. At 780 ppmv (Gasoline) and 300 scfm, sufficient heat is recovered to preheat the inflow without supplementary electric energy.

FALCO - Catalytic Oxidizer for Air Strippers

Air strippers remove volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) from water through vigorous aeration. Strippers are used for the remediation of contaminated groundwater and for industrial water treatment. This process results in water that is far less contaminated and an airstream that now contains VOC’s. VOC contaminated air is either directly discharged if regulations permit, treated by activated carbon, or treated by a catalytic oxidizer. Falmouth Products Vapor Control Valve (VCV) is installed inline on the vacuum side of the extraction blower. The VCV enables the FALCO to start up, operate automatically, and cooperate with the temperature controllers to regulate input vapors. The VCV minimizes power use by accurately maintaining maximum input concentration consistent with the heat recovery adjustment.

Precise vapor control is critical to successful soil vapor extraction and treatment projects.  Falmouth Products Vapor Control Valve (VCV) is installed in-line on the vacuum side of the extraction blower.  The VCV enables the FALCO 600 catalytic oxidizer to start up, operate automatically, and cooperate with the temperature controllers to regulate input vapors. The VCV minimizes power use by accurately maintaining maximum input concentration consistent with the heat recovery adjustment. The VCV includes a valve body, valve disc, two valve seats, and a gear motor.
