Filter Designs was formed as a Limited Company in 2001 by Roger Callis. Roger alone had over 45 years’ experience in the industry, including pioneering Ceramic Filter Technologies, a position as Technical Director for Lodge Sturtevant and an apprenticeship at DCE, then establishing Environmental Air Filtration (EAF) in Leicestershire. He quickly established a business that led the way in the dust control industry. This experience was shared with the present employees of the business to continue the benefits of industry knowledge. In 2012 his son, Simon Callis, continued leading the day-to-day operation of the business as Managing Director, with Roger retaining an active role as Chairman. In late 2021, Roger sadly passed away. He left behind a thriving engineering business, with a tight-knit and talented team. This is his legacy, and the team continue to honour this by delivering projects for clients all over the world.
