Analytical instrumentation for the marine engine industry.
The refining and petrochemical employs a wide variety of physical/chemical processes like separation, conversion, treatment, reaction, purification along with a series of auxiliary processes to make them occur or make the byproducts properly treated.
The petroleum refining industry converts crude oil into more than 2500 refined products, the primaries are LPG, gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, diesel, heavy fuel oil, lubricating oils, wax and asphalt. The petroleum refineries produce also the major hydrocarbon sources used as feedstocks for petrochemical industry, mainly olefins and aromatics, that converted to produce monomers and polymers, molecules which are building-blocks for many everyday chemical products. The refining and petrochemical employs a wide variety of physical/chemical processes like separation, conversion, treatment, reaction, purification along with a series of auxiliary processes to make them occur or make the byproducts properly treated.
Natural gas is a hydrocarbon gas mixture consisting primarily of methane(CH4) , but commonly includes varying amounts of other higher alkanes and usually small amounts of impurities like water vapor (H2O), hydrogen sulfide(H2S), carbon dioxide(CO2), and nitrogen (N2 ) and others. Natural gas must be processed from the impurities before can be used as a fuel. Five stages are often required to convert raw natural gas into fuel gas pipelined to the end user markets: extraction and gathering, gas purification, custody transfer and storage, compression and liquefaction. H2O, H2S, and CO2are on the top list of impurities in natural gas that have to be analyzed to avoid corrosion to pipeline, prevent the danger of leakage and explosion, and finally guarantee a safe and quality gas supply to customers.
Today, steel production is becoming more and more technology intensive. Advanced control systems are under continuous development and large potentials to exploit their benefits therefore exist. The control systems optimize process operations leading to reduced processing time, reduced maintenance costs, increased energy efficiency, improved product quality and consistency as well as better emission control.
