Branchpipes - Multipurpose Jet/Spray Branchpipe
The jet/spray branchpipes are fully adjustable - full jet/variable spray/shut-off. Symbols of the control settings - which can be seen or felt - are provided on the casing. Branchpipes with full jet lock `VSP` protect the fireman when fighting fires in electrical installations, as well as avoiding unnecessary water damage. Branchpipes have a simple robust construction, not sensitive to dirt. Easy to flush simply by changing over from jet to spray pattern. Spray angle and droplet size can be variably selected in case spray position is set out of centre.with a single action, irrespective of whether the full jet or spray jet had been selected and independently of the setting of the water curtain.
branchpipes - Jet/Spray Unifire Nozzle
This jet/spray nozzle is operated by turning the nozzle head, producing an absolutely parallel jet with excellent range or a homogenous spray pattern. The nozzle has a baffle rod which is prismatically attached and therefore perfectly centred by water pressure, which is neutralised on all moving parts. The nozzle is insensitive to dirt, self cleaning being by quick use of the spray setting at maximum. The nozzle is available with outlet areas corresponding to diameters 12, 16, and 20mm.
Standpipes & Fire Fittings
Standpipes & Hydrant Keys and Bars
Standpipes connect to underground fire hydrants to provide a supply of pressurised water. The standard inlet is 2 ½” Female Round Thread but we can offer a bayonet hydrant connection or a female hydrant vee thread. The standard shaft length is 760mm and the outlet may be either single or double headed instantaneous. In order to prevent any water contaminating the water mains, standpipes can be supplied with a double check valve. Hydrant Keys are used to turn on the water supply and are available in aluminium or forged steel.
Hydrant Flow Gauge and Mains Testing Outfit
The V.M. Hydrant Flow Gauge is universally used by Water Engineers and Fire Service Authorities in the appraisal of piped water supply for fire fighting, for development planning, and as a probe for investigating the ageing conditions of water mains and the incidence of overloading. In all of these spheres there is no effective substitute.
Foam Equipment
High Velocity Low Expansion Foam Branchpipe
The new style Branchpipe is designed to first expand the foam and accelerate it to high velocity producing long throws beyond the capability of many older designs.
Variable In-line Foam Inductor
Variable Inline Foam Inductors provide a simple cost effective means of introducing foam concentrate into the water stream. They are calibrated to pick up between 1 % and 6% foam concentrate. The standard unit is manufactured in corrosion resistant materials. A fully marinised unit is available for continuous use with sea water in particularly harsh marine environments.
Foam Making Branchpipe
The FB5X is a lightweight, easy to handle foam making branchpipe ideal for Fire Brigade first line appliances and general industrial use. It will operate from a water supply of 230 l/min. at 5.5 bar to produce approximately 2270 l/min. of foam, whilst inducing 3% or 6% foam liquid via a 3M long piercer pick up tube which can be supplied with the branchpipe. The branchpipe incorporates a water shut-off valve and an easily adjustable concentration control valve enabling 6% or 3% induction rates or premix operation to be selected. The unit is versatile but simple to operate and maintain.
