The optical properties of solar cells and solar modules, in particular the materials used for the body of the solar module, are of significant importance for their efficiency. The optical interaction of the cover glass, the anti-reflective coating, the TCO layer as well as the encapsulation materials determines primarily the part of the sunlight which reaches the photovoltaic active material.
