Gage Assembly manufactures many different types of special thread gages. These special fixed limit plug and ring thread gages are designed to provide an accurate functional thread check of threaded components. The gages will determine if the threaded component of the part is in or out of tolerance.

In uses where each nut, bolt or part component has to support equal stress or weight, it is particularly important that the load be borne over the entire object. The time to figure out whether that will happen is before the object is tested, and this action is best accomplished by standardized sizes and strengths for all connecting hardware that can be verified.

Taperlock thread plug gages are used to check the accuracy and dimension of parts that require high tolerances and a need for great accuracy, such as those used in the medical, automotive, oil/gas and aerospace industries.

Thread ring gages are root relieved for longer and more accurate gaging life. A root clearance at the major diameter eliminates any possibility of interference from the full form of the setting plug and major diameter of the part being checked.
