The press filters and filtration plants built by Galigani Filtri run “mechanical” filtration, removing the solid particles which are inside various types of liquids. With this type of filtration, the liquid does not undergo any chemical alteration. It is possible to manufacture filters suitable to retain solid particles of different nature and size. For this purpose, the filtration can take place on the filter cloth of synthetic material or of filtering carton pads (for particles of size equal to 1 thousandth of a millimetre or less).

The QuickDry filter press is a semi-automatic machine. The electric control automatically manages all of the filtration steps, but the discharge of the pressed sludge is done manually by the operator. The structure is built in electro welded carbon steel and it includes all the devices necessary to control the filtration process. The feeding of the slurry in a central position, while the discharge of the filtered liquid may be effected both by an opened channel or by a closed manifold.

The MATCHLESS filter press provides completely automatic operation and is especially suited to medium and lengthy filtration cycles with high quantities of solids requiring separation. It may be used as a process machine or in purification plant; derived from our "QUICKDRY" model HD version filter press, the MATCHLESS is available in models ranging from 4959/35 to 1500/140. In the filter MATCHLESS the unloading of the cakes is done one by one and this leads to a duration of the discharge of some tens of minutes. It can be supplied equipped with polypropylene filtering elements with filtrate discharging through a stainless steel open channel and a system of internal headers, or alternatively it can be equipped with membrane plates offering improved dewatering performance.

CLEARNESS 6 is our new sixth generation clarifying filter. This highly practical and functional machine has been designed and constructed with the following specific aims in mind: - Improving the efficiency of the filtration of extra virgin olive oil, clarified or raw, and all edible oils in general, before bottling, using carton pads or filtering sheets. - Provide the user with a device that keeps the product (which is delicate and prone to absorb odours, tastes, etc.) isolated from contact with the external environment. - Recover by physical means as much of the oil as possible, trapped by the carton pads of the previous filtration, without additional charges, without alteration of the product, on the same machine that made the filtering.

The long experience gained in the largest olive oil producing firms in the Mediterranean since 1958, has allowed us to plan more and more reliable and easy to use machines, for this reason today we can build machines such as the PAPERPRESS. PAPER PRESS is our new automatic system for oil recovery present in used carton pads in the filtration of oil.

WINTERSEI - the completely programmable filter system for edible winterized oils. It is a system where you control from the control panel the filling, filtration during its progress, the discharge of melted margarine, the heating and cooling phases, washing, excluding any manual intervention. WINTERSEI is a special filter press that remains closed, without the need for openings and inspections, for a time equal to the duration and efficiency of the filter cloths; one year / year and a half and beyond.

PISTON PUMPS are of two different models, pneumatic for low flow rate and hydraulic for higher ones. The range of pneumatic piston pumps is made up of three models; the pneumatic cylinder is operated from compressed air through a pneumatic distribution group, which controls the movement. The hydraulic piston pumps are manufactured in two models, the hydraulic cylinder is actuated by an hydraulic power unit mounted on board of the pump, by means of an hydraulic distribution group that controls its movement.

PISTON-MEMBRANE PUMPS are supplied in two models, with single and double head. They have been projected and assembled for pumping very abrasive liquids and they are suitable for feeding the filter press. The duration in time is guaranteed by the absence of contact between the moving mechanical parts and the fluid to be pumped.
