Galson Laboratories was founded in 1970 by Allen Galson. Allen recognized the need for industrial hygiene services to help industry manage environmental and occupational health risks, so he assembled a team of chemists to help companies comply with the new Occupational Health and Safety Act and emerging environmental legislation. The company grew steadily, responding to the increased regulatory requirements with new technologies and methods to meet the more stringent standards.

At the end of 1996 Joe Unangst, who directed the laboratory operations at the time, purchased the Galson laboratory operations. Joe focused the company on client service, continuous improvement process and on developing innovative programs to meet clients' needs, all of which have contributed to the continued success and growth of the company.

For 40 years, Galson Laboratories has provided analytical laboratory testing services to the industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, and environmental industries. Today, we concentrate our efforts solely on air analysis. The distinction of the 'Largest Air-only IH Lab in the World', allows us to offer an unsurpassed concentration of professional talent, experience and laboratory resources specifically to those requiring industrial hygiene air testing, mold testing and analysis.

We continue to stake our reputation on a relentless effort to satisfy our clients. To this end, over the last 10 years we have added new services, client-focused programs and industry professionals so every base is covered. With Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) and a dedicated, experienced technical and administrative staff, we will help you look at 'the big picture' and find the optimal monitoring solution for your specific situation. This may result in traditional laboratory analysis, using our renowned FreePumpLoan and/or FreeSamplingBadges programs or providing a field monitoring solution through our equipment rental program - whatever provides the most value to our client.
