Market Entry Services
The promise of the China market is undeniable, but can also be a difficult market to crack, and cannot be approached in the same way as Western Markets. Who is right for China, and how should one proceed in dealing with this market? The first step is to gain reliable knowledge of this market. In addition to working with companies in China, GCiS works with companies that are offshore, or at different stages of involvement in this market. We believe that the first step in this process is Market Knowledge, and that this should guide actions in the market. Too many companies- many of them world leaders- have entered this market without proper knowledge, leading to poor results. Market knowledge can be used to determine such issues as: whether opportunities exist, how to best proceed, what partners to work with, how to sell into the market, who to target, and others.
Market Assessment Services
GCiS are research based, the following are traditional market research and consulting services. Comprehensive End-user Assessments. These are popular, and constitute a thorough assessment of market demand, including technical and purchasing issues, perception of suppliers, market size, demand by industry, bet opportunities in the market, and a wide range of other issues.
Partner Search Services
Finding the right partner in China is a critical matter- whether this is a joint venture partner, a channel or technology partner. Getting set up with the right (or wrong) partner(s) is a key structural issue that could make or break one on this market. Too often, however, partnerships are made haphazardly, and/or without sufficient investigation of the candidate. In the first instance, `matchmakers` often recommend who they know, have heard of, or are connected with in some way. This way is lazy, or even disingenuous. GCiS is not a `matchmaker.` We use systematic research to fills both of these needs. We have a Partner Search Program to find the most appropriate partner, and to perform due diligence on final candidates. In a market as diverse and complex as China, this is the right way to do it.
