GEM GEM DRONEmag - Ultra Light-Weight Potassium Magnetometer

GEM Systems developed the DRONEmag™ (GSMP-35U/25U) to be the first light-weight, high sensitivity magnetometer specifically designed for UAVs. At a weight of less than 1 kg, this Ultra Light-Weight Sensor opens up new avenues for magnetometer surveys The sensors are based on GEM’s popular optically pumped Potassium Magnetometer sensor, which offers the highest sensitivity, absolute accuracy and gradient tolerance available in the industry. The 0.2 pT sensitivity potassium magnetometer forms the core of GEM’s UAV solutions.

GEM AirBIRD & AirGRAD - UAV Magnetometer System

The AirBIRD is a turnkey light-weight towed-bird magnetometer system designed specifically for UAVs. This system has everything needed to carry out high precision magnetometer surveys from an UAV The AirBIRD weighs 3.5 kg and therefore is suitable for medium and larger quadcopters and helicopter UAVs. The recommended minimum airspeed is 10 m/s. The system is designed to simply be attached to an appropriate UAV for immediate survey operations As well as providing high quality magnetic data, the AirBIRD records and stores additional flight parameters. Altitude, GPS location, Pitch, Roll, Yaw, and Satellite information can all be transmitted in real time to the ground station and displayed with GEMDAS, our custom data acquisition software. The GEMDAS software features include Multi-Window display of mag data and flight parameters, 3D Graphic Attitude display, and Integration with Google Earth.

GEM - UAV Magnetometer Solution

Empower your UAV with the CARDINAL, an ultra-lightweight towed magnetometer system designed to deliver unparalleled accuracy and efficiency in magnetic surveys. Weighing in at just 1.5 kg, the CARDINAL seamlessly integrates with smaller drone platforms, enabling seamless data acquisition even in confined spaces. Unparalleled Precision with Optically Pumped Potassium Magnetometer. At the heart of the CARDINAL lies an optically pumped potassium magnetometer renowned for its unmatched sensitivity and accuracy. With a remarkable noise floor of 0.0001 nT, the CARDINAL unveils even the subtlest magnetic anomalies, revealing hidden archaeological features, underground pipelines, and more.

GEM - Resistivity Mapping System

VLF Theory: The Very Low-Frequency (VLF) Electromagnetic Method (EM) survey technique is a passive method that utilizes distant, globally positioned transmitters that are broadcasting at frequencies in the range of 15.0 – 30.0kHz. In a VLF investigation the primary fields (generated by the radio transmitters) are horizontal, vertical deviations are measured (which are effected by local ground conditions).
