Target Sample - Blood/Cell
Geneaid - Model gSYNC - Blood/Tissue DNA Mini Kit (GS100, GS300)
The gSYNC™ DNA Extraction Kit is a genomic DNA extraction kit optimized for genomic, mitochondrial and virus DNA purification from whole blood (fresh blood and frozen blood), serum, plasma, buffy coat, body fluids, cultured cells, tissue, rodent tails, ear punches, formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue (FFPE), amniotic fluid, hair, insects and sperm in one convenient kit. This DNA extraction kit uses Proteinase K and chaotropic salt to lyse cells and degrade protein, allowing DNA to bind to the glass fiber matrix of the spin column. Contaminants are removed using a Wash Buffer and the purified genomic DNA is eluted by a low salt Elution Buffer, TE or water. The entire procedure can be completed in less than 20 minutes without phenol/chloroform extraction or alcohol precipitation. Purified DNA, with approximately 20-30 kb, is suitable for use in PCR or other enzymatic reactions.
DNA Extraction - Plasmid DNA Purification
Geneaid Presto - Model PEH100 - Endotoxin Free Mini Plasmid Kit
The Presto™ Endotoxin Free Mini Plasmid Kit was designed for transfection grade plasmid DNA purification from 1-5 ml of cultured E. coli cells using silica-membrane spin columns. A modified alkaline lysis method and RNase treatment are used to obtain clear cell lysate with minimal genomic DNA and RNA contaminants. In addition, an efficient endotoxin removal step is integrated in the procedure and endotoxins are precipitated in a proprietary reagent. TrueBlue Lysis Buffer (an optional color indicator) is included with the kit in order to prevent common handling errors, ensuring efficient cell lysis and neutralization. DNA phenol extraction or alcohol precipitation is not required and the entire procedure can be completed within 50 minutes. The purified endotoxin free plasmid DNA is ready for use in transfection, restriction enzyme digestion, ligation, PCR, and sequencing reactions.
Geneaid - Model Presto™ Mini Plasmid Kit (PDH100, PDH300) - DNA Extraction/Plasmid DNA Purification
This miniprep Plasmid Kit was designed for plasmid DNA purification from 1-7 ml of cultured bacterial cells. For processing larger volumes, the Presto™ Midi Plasmid Kit is also available. Both plasmid kits include TrueBlue Lysis Buffer (an optional color indicator) to prevent common handling errors while ensuring efficient cell lysis, neutralization and maximum plasmid product yield. The Presto™ Mini Plasmid Kit uses a modified alkaline lysis method and RNase treatment to obtain clear cell lysate with minimal genomic DNA/RNA contaminants. In the presence of chaotropic salt, plasmid DNA in the lysate binds to the glass fiber matrix of the plasmid mini spin column. Contaminants are removed with a Wash Buffer (containing ethanol) and the purified plasmid DNA is eluted by a low salt Elution Buffer, TE or water. DNA phenol extraction or alcohol precipitation are not required and the entire procedure can be completed within 15 minutes.
Geneaid - Model PIF025 - DNA Extraction/Plasmid DNA Purification
The Presto™ Midi Plasmid Kit was designed for Plasmid DNA Purification from 50-150 ml of cultured bacterial cells using an efficient plasmid midiprep system. For processing smaller volumes, the Presto™ Mini Plasmid Kit is also available. Both plasmid kits include TrueBlue Lysis Buffer (an optional color indicator) to prevent common handling errors, while ensuring efficient cell lysis and neutralization. The Presto™ Midi Plasmid Kit uses a modified alkaline lysis method and RNase treatment to obtain clear cell lysate with minimal genomic DNA/RNA contaminants. Using an efficient gravity-flow procedure, plasmid DNA in the crude lysate is bound by the plasmid midi column and the contaminants are removed with PMC Buffer. The purified plasmid DNA is eluted by a high salt buffer and then precipitated with Isopropanol for desalting. The entire procedure can be completed in 80 minutes without ultracentrifuges, HPLC or other toxic reagents.
DNA Extraction - Reagent DNA Extraction
Geneaid - DNA Isolation Kit (Bacteria) (GEE150, GEE1.5K)
The Geneaid™ DNA Isolation Kit (Bacteria) offers a simple and gentle reagent DNA precipitation method for isolating protein free, high molecular weight genomic and viral DNA from Gram (+) positive and Gram (-) negative bacteria cells, suitable for archiving or sensitive downstream applications. This highly versatile solution based system can be scaled proportionately in order to satisfy larger sample volumes providing a convenient sample-storage procedure with minimal hands on time. Initially cells are lysed in the presence of detergents and a proprietary DNA stabilization solution followed by RNase A treatment. Once proteins and other contaminants are removed DNA is precipitated then rehydrated. The high quality extracted DNA is ready for use in a variety of downstream applications.
Geneaid - Model GEB100/GEB01K - Reagent DNA Extraction/Reagent DNA Extraction
The Geneaid™ DNA Isolation Kit (Blood) offers a simple and gentle reagent DNA precipitation method for isolating protein free, high molecular weight genomic, mitochondrial or viral DNA suitable for archiving or sensitive downstream applications.
Geneaid - Model GET150, GET01K - Tissue DNA Isolation Kit
The Geneaid™ DNA Isolation Kit (Tissue) offers a simple and gentle reagent DNA precipitation method for isolating high molecular weight genomic, mitochondrial and viral DNA from tissue, suitable for archiving or sensitive downstream applications.
Bead Beating Tubes
Geneaid - Model Type A - Bead Beating Tube
With the Gel Extraction Tool, DNA and RNA bands can be accurately excised from agarose gels. The Gel Extraction Tool is disposable, making it a convenient alternative to other cutting tools such as razor blades and scalpels without the risk of cross contamination. For one-handed, safe and easy gel cutting, the Gel Extraction Tool is the cost effective solution.
Geneaid - Model Type B (Yeast) - Bead Beating Tube
Zymolase and lyticase are most often used for lysing yeast cells by hydrolyzing the polysaccharides and glycoproteins present in the cell walls. However, our bead beating tubes offer an efficient ready-to-use alternative to harsh enzymes. The bead beating tubes are pre-filled with zorconia/silica beads for added convenience. Simply add your yeast sample into the bead tube and attach to a bead beating instrument. If this type of instrument isn`t available, the bead beating tubes can be taped directly to a standard vortex.
