Gas Detectors

General Monitors - Model S5000 - Single or Dual Gas Monitor

The General Monitors S5000 Gas Monitor is the ultimate gas detector for extreme environments needing to detect oxygen, toxic and combustible gases. It operates over a wide temperature range (-55°C to +75°C) using a variety of gas sensing technologies. Breakthrough XCell® gas sensors with TruCal® technology extends calibration cycles and actively monitors the sensor integrity and compensates for environmental factors that cause traditional echem sensors to drift with automatic self-checks 4x/day. Diffusion Supervision warns if sensor inlet becomes blocked and unable to detect gas. Bluetooth allows mobile device to act as HMI screen and controller to modify settings. Dual sensor capability doubles the sensing power and reduces wiring costs. SafeSwap enables safe replacement of XCell sensors without turning off the instrument. Status indicators illuminate power, fault and alarm conditions. Same footprint and wiring as S4000 series making retrofits simple using existing conduit/wiring.

Model IR400 - Infrared Point Gas Detector (IR)

The Model IR400 Infrared (IR) Point Detector is a microprocessor-based hydrocarbon gas detector that continuously monitors combustible gases and vapors within the lower explosive limit (LEL) and provides alarm indication. All electronics are contained within an explosion-proof housing so that the IR400`s detector information can be processed locally. The IR400 operates with a 4-20mA signal, which is proportional to 0 to 100% LEL gas concentration at the detector. Configurations with analog output, Modbus and HART are also available. Modbus and HART data can be used for predictive maintenance.

Gassonic - Model Observer-i - Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detector

Instantly detect pressurized gas leaks with this high-precision, omni-direction acoustic detector. Works even when traditional methods of gas detection are unsuitable or dependent on ventilation. Features Artificial Neural Network (ANN) technology that distinguishes between real gas leaks and false alarm sources without requiring any in-field training. This breakthrough technology provides an industry-leading detection range (30 m) reducing the number of detectors required. The patented self-test system provides fail-safe operation.

General Monitors - Model IR5500 - Open Path Infrared Gas Detector

The IR5500 is an open path infrared (IR) gas detector that continuously monitors for flammable gas leaks over large open areas. It monitors in both the LEL-m and ppm-m ranges to detect both small and large leaks. The IR5500 offers the benefits of early detection with its high sensitivity to gas concentrations at the ppm levels. This feature allows it to alarm faster than an LEL-only detector. Digital display and adjustable mounting arms ensure easy alignment. Factory calibrated for low-maintenance operation.

Model S4000CH - Intelligent Combustible Gas Detector

The Model S4000CH Intelligent Sensor is a microprocessor-based transmitter designed for use with General Monitors` robust catalytic bead sensors. The unit features one person calibration and can virtually self-calibrate by simply activating a magnetic switch and applying gas. It is designed to monitor combustible gases and vapors within the lower explosive limit (LEL) and provide status indication and alarm outputs. Complies with ANSI/ISA 12.13.01-2000 performance requirements for combustible gas detectors. CSA, FM, ATEX, IECeX approved, CE Marking. SIL 2/3 suitable, certified by FM to IEC 61508.

Model S4100C - Intelligent Combustible Gas Sensor (EU)

The Model S4100C Intelligent Sensor is a microprocessor-based transmitter with integral three-digit readout. It is designed to measure and display concentrations of combustible gases in the 0-100% LEL range, but will continue to display concentrations up to 120% LEL. The sensing element may be incorporated in the transmitter housing or remotely mounted at distances of 600 meters. The S4100C will record the number of successful calibrations, compute the sensor output in mV during calibration and store in non-volatile memory, along with calibration and set-up parameters.

Model 580A - Dual-Channel Combustible Gas Monitor

The 580A is a compact, highly-versatile system for continuously monitoring combustible gas (hydrocarbon) concentrations in two locations. The system consists of two remote catalytic bead gas sensors and a solid-state controller. The controller automatically displays the higher reading channel on a digital display, scaled from 0-100% LEL (lower explosive limit). Manual override switching permits readout of the low channel at any time.

Model 610A - Four Channel Combustible Gas Monitor

The Model 610A is a system for continuously monitoring combustible gas (hydrocarbon) concentrations in four locations. The system consists of four remote catalytic sensing assemblies and a solid-state controller. The controller features four independent channels, each having its own circuitry. The 610A features a digital display of gas concentrations in % LEL (0-99% lower explosive limit) for each channel.

Model S4000TH - Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Gas Detector

The Model S4000TH Intelligent Sensor is a microprocessor-based transmitter designed for use with General Monitors` thin film metal oxide semiconductor (TFMOS) sensors. This unit features one person calibration and can virtually self-calibrate by simply activating a magnetic switch and applying gas. It is designed to detect hydrogen sulfide in parts per million (ppm) levels and provide status indication and alarm outputs.

Model IR700 - Point IR Carbon Dioxide Gas Detector

The Model IR700 Infrared (IR) Point Detector is a microprocessor-based carbon dioxide gas detector that continuously monitors for CO2 in ppm levels. All electronics are contained within an explosion-proof housing so that the IR700`s detector information can be processed locally. The IR700 operates with a 4-20 mA signal, which is proportional to 0 to 100% full scale. Configurations with analog output, Modbus and HART are available. Modbus and HART data can be used for predictive maintenance.
