Established in 1984, Geotechnology, Inc. is a highly respected, professional engineering and environmental services corporation. We have experience working on a broad range of projects in applied earth and environmental sciences, geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and non-destructive testing, geophysical surveys, drilling and construction observation. Our over 160 employees call Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, and Tennessee home; we are proud to work in and support the communities in which we live with resources and capabilities comparable to much larger national firms. While we are a well-known resource in the Midwest and Mid-South regions we are able and do, provide our services nationwide.

Our Mission:
Our mission is to be a trusted adviser to our clients and a leader in the community.

Our Vision:
Our Vision is to provide value-added solutions for our stakeholders and community.

To further this mission, we emphasize quality, responsiveness, opportunity, partnership and integrity, and we have a longstanding reputation for consistently providing excellent service. We value innovation and learn how to apply new technologies to improve project efficiency and quality. Newer methods like pre-construction probing, cone penetrometer testing and subsurface utility engineering allow us to increase safety, provide more accurate information and reduce scheduling discrepancies. And although much of our work is done behind the scenes, that doesn’t mean you won’t see us. We place a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration and truly value our relationships with clients, state agencies and other industry professionals. In short, we are passionate about great work and want to speak with you further about your project.

Our Sustainability Policy:

Geotechnology, Inc. is committed to being a leader in environmental sustainability. We strive to be a greener, more environmentally conscious company. We utilize our environmental expertise to operate our business in a sustainable manner and to assist our clients in developing sustainable projects and businesses. We will actively promote energy and water conservation, clean air, waste and pollution reduction, and the reuse and recycling of materials including building and pavement debris. We will consider environmental sustainability in all our business decisions. By promoting sustainable business practices, Geotechnology enhances our communities while benefitting our clients, employees and shareholders.

Our Safety:

Safety is one of Geotechnology’s core values. As such, we are dedicated to providing a safe working environment for all employees, and we invest significant resources to make safety the top priority for our employees. Examples of our commitment to safety include:

  • More than 5,000 days and counting worked by our St. Louis Construction Materials Testing group without a lost-time accident;
  • 3-year average OSHA recordable incident rate less than half of our industry’s average;
  • EMR of 0.80 and has remained below 1.0 for over 15 years;
  • 2013 National Drilling Association Safety Award recipient for exemplary safety performance;
  • Superior grades from third-party pre-qualification and verification services such as ISNetWorld, Browz and PICS; and
  • Active member of the National Safety Council.

In 1984, six men who were unsatisfied with the limited services provided by existing engineering firms, got together and established a niche firm whose focus was on filling a void in the industry. From this, Geotechnology, Inc. was born. Over the years, the firm has completed geotechnical, environmental, materials testing, geophysical, non-destructive testing and drilling projects for clients all over the Midwest, North and Central America and Europe. Since our founding, we have grown from a six-person firm to a 150+ person corporation. With our headquarters, drill shop and construction materials testing lab located in a 39,000-square-foot facility in St. Louis, Missouri, we are able to streamline projects and enhance communication. To better serve our clients’ needs, we also have offices in Overland Park, Kansas; Collinsville, Illinois; and Memphis, Tennessee. We have built our reputation on responsiveness and are well-known in the field for managing our own materials testing laboratories and owning and operating our own fleet of drill rigs.

Today, our industrial, development and transportation & infrastructure market teams allow us to provide a high level of service to clients and better focus on their needs. The firm continues to experience positive growth, thanks in part to our strong relationships with longstanding clients and also to our highly qualified and dedicated staff of professionals. And most recently, the acquisition of Hall, Blake and Associates, Inc. of Memphis, Tennessee brings a wealth of opportunity with this new geographic expansion into the southeastern region of the U.S.

With our ability to enhance traditional engineering disciplines, develop innovative solutions like pre-construction probing and provide value-added services like geophysical surveying, non-destructive testing and special inspections, we are confident Geotechnology will see continued success.
