History
In 1984, six men who were unsatisfied with the limited services provided by existing engineering firms, got together and established a niche firm whose focus was on filling a void in the industry. From this, Geotechnology, Inc. was born. Over the years, the firm has completed geotechnical, environmental, materials testing, geophysical, non-destructive testing and drilling projects for clients all over the Midwest, North and Central America and Europe. Since our founding, we have grown from a six-person firm to a 150+ person corporation. With our headquarters, drill shop and construction materials testing lab located in a 39,000-square-foot facility in St. Louis, Missouri, we are able to streamline projects and enhance communication. To better serve our clients’ needs, we also have offices in Overland Park, Kansas; Collinsville, Illinois; and Memphis, Tennessee. We have built our reputation on responsiveness and are well-known in the field for managing our own materials testing laboratories and owning and operating our own fleet of drill rigs.
Today, our industrial, development and transportation & infrastructure market teams allow us to provide a high level of service to clients and better focus on their needs. The firm continues to experience positive growth, thanks in part to our strong relationships with longstanding clients and also to our highly qualified and dedicated staff of professionals. And most recently, the acquisition of Hall, Blake and Associates, Inc. of Memphis, Tennessee brings a wealth of opportunity with this new geographic expansion into the southeastern region of the U.S.
With our ability to enhance traditional engineering disciplines, develop innovative solutions like pre-construction probing and provide value-added services like geophysical surveying, non-destructive testing and special inspections, we are confident Geotechnology will see continued success.
