Lead Paint Removal
One of the leading sources of lead poisoning for children and adults is lead-based paint in residential and commercial structures. Children can suffer long-term irreversible effects from early exposure to lead-based paints, causing mental and physical development issues and reduced attention span. Adults are not safe either from the effects of lead-based paint. Exposure can cause irritability, poor muscle coordination, and nerve damage to the sensory organs and nerves controlling the body. Lead-based paint poisoning can also cause reproductive problems in both males and females.
Mold Remediation
Gerken Environmental has been providing mold remediation services for our commercial and industrial clients since 1999. In addition to mold remediation activities, Gerken Environmental provides additional biological services such as pigeon guano removal, bat guano removal, medical clean room remediation and infectious control remediation.
Demolition
Gerken Environmental entered the Demolition Industry in 2001 with the purpose of providing our clients with a "turn key" project ready for renovation. Since 2001, Gerken Environmental has completed hundreds of demolition projects ranging from small-scale residential "guts" prior to renovation to large-scale medical center demolitions.
Asbestos Abatement
A natural occurring mineral Asbestos was used in products from power house steam pipe insulation to coatings under residential sinks, and most everything in between. While Gerken Environmental has ventured into other areas of the environmental and service industry since our inception in 1993, the removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials and products still remains our core business.
