With over 40 years of experience developing machinery to provide high quality rubber from scrap tires, Granutech Tire Shredders provide cost-effective options for shredding tires, separating rubber from steel and generating granulated or powderized rubber for recycling operations. Our staff has decades of experience in the scrap tire industry, and we’ll make sure that the equipment we provide you will meet your specific recycling requirements.
Granutech Saturn Systems has over 40 years’ experience designing and manufacturing world-class shredders for industrial rubber scrap. We have consistently been in the forefront of developing machinery to provide high quality rubber crumb from rubber and tire scrap. Whether your application is processing remainders from rubber molding, shredding rubber scrap or shredding tires, we have the expertise to design a custom solution that meets your exact application and processing requirements.
Granutech’s MAC crushers are the industry-leading automobile crushers. With over 40 years of experience and more than 2,000 machines in operation, we have developed a line of reliable and durable auto crushers designed to meet the needs of the automobile recycling and scrap industry. The crushed car from a MAC is the most preferred form for shredding and the safest form for feeding into car shredders.
Processing electronic scrap (E-Scrap or WEEE) presents special challenges. Computers, consumer electronics, and IT equipment need to be destroyed to extract recyclables or ensure the security and complete destruction of the product. Hard drives, tapes and data storage devices must be completely destroyed to provide data security. And, while many electronic scrap items do not require the specific size reduction that hard drives or other data storage devices require, all electronic scrap includes recoverable materials that can be recycled for future use. As a result, separation and recovery are critical elements of the shredding process for electronic materials.
The disposal of hazardous waste requires special handling to ensure that safety and regulatory requirements are met. Preparing the waste for incineration or burial requires equipment that is durable and reliable so that the materials are processed safely and in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
Our industrial paper shredders are designed to process paper, cardboard, and pulp waste. The shredded material is then used to manufacture new products, enabling manufacturers to efficiently recycle paper products. In addition, industrial paper shredders are used to ensure secure and total destruction of documents.
Plastics are one of the most commonly recycled materials today. Granutech’s Saturn Shredders are designed to process a wide range of plastic materials, from films to pipe. Our high performance shredders use low to mid-range speed, and high torque to efficiently cut the plastic materials while preventing melting during processing. Custom blade sizes and configurations offer precise sizing and produce materials ready for downstream processing. Our systems can integrate grinders and granulators to complete processing of the material for re-use.
Solid waste and municipal solid waste (MSW) size reduction requires processing of many different materials, from filled drums to household waste. And, as the amount of solid waste increases and the cost of landfill management increases, it is becoming more critical that waste management become more effective, economic and efficient. Shredded and compacted waste is easier and cheaper to transport and extends the life of the landfill. In addition, separating out materials that can be reclaimed and recycled or that need to be incinerated or composted increases the landfill productivity while providing revenue to offset the costs of processing the solid waste.
