Municipal Infrastructure Services

We view our role on development projects as a proactive one, to ensure that each work plan is expedited and our clients` needs are perceived as priorities. This philosophy combined with a commitment to open interaction with our clients is unique and has consistently allowed GREENLAND to achieve methodical, practical, yet often innovative approaches to problem solving, resulting in viable, cost-effective results. We offer a breadth of experience on subdivision designs (grading, servicing and storm water management), site remediation and planning, water and wastewater infrastructure and related project management.

Monitoring Services

GREENLAND recognizes that when developing municipal or environmental infrastructure, each design is based on finite information and assumptions about development timing and build-out activity. It is therefore crucial for any project`s successful implementation that a set of targets or indicators be determined at the outset, which can be monitored over time. This applies not only to the natural environment but also to municipal infrastructure, such as the monitoring of sanitary sewer systems for assessing surplus capacities for `smart growth` communities, infills (including `Brownfield` sites), expanded residential subdivisions or industries.

Environmental Management Services

Watersheds are exceedingly intricate and inter-dependent complexes of land, water, plants and animals. The watershed has emerged as the logical unit for managing surface water and to support the management of groundwater. However, this approach places significant pressure on resource agency managers and planners to provide leadership, innovation and a capacity for adaptation within the art and science of watershed management.

Water Resources Services

The major connecting link in a watershed or basin ecosystem is the flow of water. The flow pattern is part of the water balance. How and where the water flows determines the quality of the water, the shape and stability of stream banks, the health and diversity of the vegetation, and the availability of fish and wildlife habitat.

Research & Development Services

The overriding issue of our time is the rapid degradation of the ecosphere. It affects all of us. Recent tragic events have served to forcefully inform, if not shock us, into the realization that “systems” originally designed to manage and protect water or air may very well be broken or, at best, not operating effectively. In some case the realty may be worse – the environmental infrastructure may not exist.
