Pressure Tanks

The Greyter Water Systems PT Series pressure tanks are used to support the Residential, Semi Commercial and Commercial greywater recycling systems by providing additional water storage under pressure to meet the total demands of a system if the pump is incapable of supplying the required volumes.

Greyter - Water Recycling System

The Greyter HOME is an award winning, compact, NSF 350 certified, fully automated water recycling system that can help reduce indoor water consumption by as much as 25 percent in a family home. The system captures water from showers and bathtubs, treats it to a near-potable quality and provides clear, odor-free water to meet a home’s toilet flushing demands. Many municipalities are recognizing the benefits of residential water recycling to conserve regional water supplies and create water-efficient communities, especially in areas where growth is constrained by limited water resources. Over the long term, the Greyter HOME also contributes to a sustainable water managements strategy for the community and helps homeowners save money on water and sewer costs.

Commercial Greywater (CGW)

Commercial Greywater Recycling System

The CGW is the most widely used greywater systems in the Greyter commercial line. Because of its versatility,  the CGW is used in many different applications ranging from military camps to vacation resorts, hotels, schools  and every fit in between. The holding capacity of a standard CGW is ~ 6600 litres (1750 gallons), which could  recycle enough greywater per day to fully service the flush volume requirements in a 160Bman labour camp or  a wind of a detention centre.

Components of CGW

Commercial Greywater Filter Stations

Two robust glassBreinforced polypropylene. housings. Durable aluminum support. Four 2” manual valves. 3Bway actuated filter bypass valve. Pressure sensor. Two pressure indicators. Pressure release buttons. SwingBbolt lid closure.

Commercial Greywater Lift Stations

Watertight polyethylene housing. Maintenance access lid. Two submersible 1/2 hp greywater pumps. Double mechanical on/off float switches. Overload protection. Watertight electrical junction box. Solvent cement sockets.

Commercial Greywater Pump System

Features: ½ hp 115V 60Hz motor with  automatic thermal overload  protection. Pump body made of stainless steel  and cast iron complete with carrying  handle. Vortex impeller, clog free type,  made from cast iron. 2” suction and discharge pipe. Solid  sewage handling capabilities. Bottom base suction with cast iron grip plate. Independant mechanical switch type, 15A. SJTW 14’ cord piggy back type. Capacity up to 4 900 US GPH.

Semi-Commercial Greywater (SGW)

Illustration - Semi-Commercial Greywater System

This illustration depicts a Semi-Commercial Greywater System (SGW-2000) designed to collect, filter, disinfect and store greywater from bathtubs, showers and where permitted, laundry machines for toilet flushing and closed loop irrigation systems if local laws allow. The greywater from the various fixtures is directed to the SGW system by gravity. If the SGW system is not installed in a basement and the fixtures are below the greywater inlet an optional Lift Station (LSP not shown) can be employed to collect and pump the water back up to the inlet. The greywater enters an optional but highly recommended pre-filter which removes excessive amounts of hair or large particles such as lint from entering the SGW system especially when utilizing laundry machines. The greywater continues into the SGW system through four easy to maintain integrated 100 micron filters and then into the lower portion of the tank for storage which equalizes between the three secondary tanks.

Semi Commercial Greywater Recycling System

The SGW series SemiBCommercial Greywater Recycling System was designed and developed to fill the void between the residential greywater and commercial greywater systems. The SGW series is in fact, a combination of both the RGW and CGW Series utilizing the portability of a residential system combined with the pumping power of a commercial system.

Greywater Tank Connections

The backwater valve prevents contamination in the event of a sewage back up. The cross connection control device prevents contamination of the potable water system. The freshwater bypass valve provides water to toilets incase of power failure. The greywater bypass prevents fixture drains from backing up incase of a filter obstruction. The vent and overflow pipes must be at least the same size as the inlet pipe (maximum 3`) The 2` piping that connects the tanks of the SGW-2000 (equalizing circuit) will ensure a level water line across all four tanks.

Commercial Rainwater Harvesting (RWH)

Rainwater Harvesting System

The Greyter Water Systems product line of Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) systems have been designed and constructed using the highest quality components to create a reliable system that will provide many years of trouble free service. The RWH system will be customized and programmed to suit a locally sourced holding tank or a custom build concrete holding tank. The design of the holding tank should be water tight eliminating the risk of groundwater infiltration. The sophisticated rainwater system is equipped with a disinfection process that will effectively eliminate all microbiological contamination of the rainwater while in storage, waiting for the free water to be used. Other leading rainwater harvesting systems do not have a water management and disinfection system like the Greyter Water Systems RWH system and therefore are susceptible to microbiological contamination.
