Bart is a dynamic senior HazMat Specialist (NFPA 1072) with 31 years’ experience as a dedicated environmental services & emergency management consultant. His career is based on the comprehensive management of hazardous materials, site remediation, & project management within the emergency preparedness marketplace. He has spent the past 20+ years as a recognized Subject Matter Expert & Hazmat Specialist throughout Canada & is acknowledged for his well defined understanding of the business-technology interface & his capability to identify & align clients’ needs with solutions & services.
Bart has a successful & diverse background spanning extensive field work, technical, operational management, delivery, project management, & business-development disciplines which underscore his expertise in engaging decision makers & devising winning sales strategies & solutions. His uncompromising ethics & transparent communications underpin business-focused value propositions that leverage competitive advantage via top quality service. He is skilled in optimizing team dynamics, uniting diverse agendas to a common goal, & harnessing strategic & operational drivers to deliver results.
Bart is a former certified Canadian Environmental Professional (EP) & served as the Vice Chair for the Canadian Environmental Certifications Approvals Board, CECAB. His experience has specifically involved the hands-on management of several thousand waste characterizations and identifications throughout Canada and the U.S. To date, Bart has trained HAZWOPER courses to over 6,000 professionals internationally. Participants have included members of industry, government, police agencies, fire departments, universities, & First Nations communities. Bart appears as a guest speaker on frequent occasions & is a member of the Manitoba Environmental Industries Association (MEIA), the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE), the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), & served on the Board of Directors for the Saskatchewan Environmental Industry & Managers Association (SEIMA).
Bart's background as both a chemist and HazMat Specialist has allowed him to specialize in both response and operational techniques to safely and securely approach and handle all levels of hazardous situations.
