Nitrogen Purging Services
PURGIT operates a fleet of liquid nitrogen tank trailers and vaporizers for inert gas purging projects throughout the mid-west and gulf coast. If you need an above ground storage tank or ship freed of oxygen call for a detailed proposal and rates. Flow rates range from 0-3,000 CFM.
VRU Storage Tank Degassing Services
PURGIT’s mobile vapor recovery units are the fastest and safest VOC vapor control systems available. Employing state-of-the-art controls and a simple, patented design, PURGIT’s C-model condensers can degas storage tanks and barges without any recordable emissions. Using large heat exchangers the PURGIT C-2 System condenses and recovers VOC vapor from the tank vapor space in a closed loop. This process operates without a source of ignition and without an exhaust to the atmosphere meeting the most stringent environmental requirements. Many cargos can be recovered by the C-2 VRU more quickly than if a portable combustor system is used saving the terminal time and money. The storage tank can even be kept inert (nitrogen pad) for safety and product compatibility. Gasoline, EDC, chloroform, benzene, perchloroethylene, trichlorethylene, cumene, and cyclohexane are some of the many products regularly condensed and recovered with this trailer mounted system.
On-Site Nitrogen Purging
PURGIT operators have years of experience in railcar purging and flaring. If you have one railcar or one hundred PURGIT can help you with on-site nitrogen purging and flare work.
Zero Pollution - VOC Recovery Services
PURGIT degasses tanks. We developed a proprietary system that eliminates releases of HAPS and recovers the cargo for recycling. We have recovered 1,984 tons of VOC for recycling. Our 1,984 tons is verifiable. What makes us different is that the recovered cargo is available for recycling. In other words we recovered that VOC and we did not make hazardous waste. We did not burn it in flares that create hazardous waste. Our control process takes the vapor VOC out of the storage tank as a gas and condenses it back to liquid. Then we put it into holding tanks or totes. The recovered liquid is as pure as it was in the storage tank. We offer the ultimate in pollution control.Tank Degassing Service
Channeling is detrimental to effective vapor control. Channeling of the vapor inside of tanks during degassing is a real problem1. Degassing is ineffective and time consuming if the vapors are not mixed or stirred. It is unreasonable to believe that effective vapor control can be achieved without mixing.
