For Kinematic Viscosity of Asphalt Binders, Cements and Cutbacks AASHTO T201, ASTM D2170, ASTM D445/D446, ISO 3104/3105, IP 71   miniAV®-HT is a fully automated, single-sample, benchtop viscometer for determining the kinematic viscosity of asphalts at 60 °C and 135 °C. The Ubbelohde-style tube covers a 100-fold viscosity range at values between 0.5 mm²/s (cSt) .

The TE-BBR is a thermoelectrically-cooled bending beam rheometer for testing flexural creep of asphalt binders from ambient to –36 °C (± 0.03 °C). The crack seal option allows low temperature characterization of crack seal “creep” under load for 0.5” thick specimens. Meets or exceeds ASTM, AASHTO and SHRP provisions for flexural creep testing of asphalt binders. Allows for flexural creep testing of 0.5” thick specimens. Excellent for characterizing crack seal “creep” under load at cold temperatures. Kit includes modified beam support, thin and thick beam for calibration, and all necessary installation hardware and documentation. Support adapter design permits testing of both 0.25” and 0.5” beams.

The automatic PMCC module conforms precisely to national and international Pensky-Martens Closed Cup flash point test methods. It comprises a heated cup and lid, and a DIPS pod containing the dipping mechanism, gas and electric ignitors, fire detection system and a stirrer. The Pensky- Martens module must be used with the Multiflash Universal Base unit (p/n 34000-0). The base unit recognises that the Pensky-Martens module is connected and instantaneously sets up standard test parameters and calibration data.

The Advanced Dynamic Triaxial Testing System is a high-end, no compromise testing apparatus combining a triaxial cell with a dynamic actuator capable of applying load, deformation and stresses up to 10Hz. The cell itself is screw-driven from an integral base unit housing the motor drive. Axial force and axial deformation are applied through the base of the cell. The system can be combined with a dynamic cell pressure actuator such that cell pressures may also be applied dynamically up to fundamental frequency of the machine (i.e. 2Hz, 5Hz or 10Hz).

An automatic airtight furnace that is pre-programmed to run tests to determine Micro (Conradson) Carbon residue of petroleum products. The digitally controlled furnace has a temperature range of ambient to 500°C. Temperature, flow and pressure values are automatically controlled and values are displayed on the control panel. The test cycle includes an audible ‘end of test’ alarm.
