Hygiene Service

Cooling Towers Service
Cooling Tower Systems are an essential part of operations for many Industrial and Public buildings. The ACoPL8 specify that cooling tower sytems need to be controlled in order to prevent the proliferation of Legionella bacteria. Legionnaire`s disease has become the major Health and Safety issue with cooling systems.
Closed System Analysis Service
Houseman Water Treatment Programme’s offer a planned preventative maintenance service for closed systems.`To provide the necessary chemicals/equipment/ and supervisory service which will best assist the client in maintaining the closed systems, free of waterside deposits such as, calcium carbonate scales, corrosion and products of corrosion, micro-biological activity and fouling.`The basis of the service is that it is `planned and preventative`, it saves time and therefore money on reactive events such as callouts, repairs etc., (and the collateral damage to furnishing and fittings), further because it is planned, the cost is predictable, allowing you to budget. Closed systems, tend to be overlooked by most building owners/operators, but when they go wrong, the cost can be enormous, not only in terms of physical replacement of equipment but also in terms of disruption to the business.
Domestic System Clean & Disinfection Service
One of the keys aspects of The Approved Code of Practice (ACoP L8) is the requirement for the maintenance of clean conditions in all water systems. It requires that a hygienic approach to water storage is maintained at all times. The monitoring required of cold water storage, under ACoP L8 is a twice annual tank inspection, is looking for the presence of calcium carbonate scale, sites of corrosion and/or products of corrosion, biofilms, and sediment. These are all contaminants within a water system that are known to allow for the proliferation of legionella bacteria, and must be removed from the system as soon as possible after their discovery. Houseman’s engineers are highly trained, and experienced in the clean and disinfection of domestic water systems.
