The history of HP Valves goes back as far as 1879 when Dikkers Hengelo began manufacturing a wide range of industrial valves for use in the steam powered industrialization. In the century that followed, Dikkers built a strong reputation for product quality and technical know-how. HP Valves was founded as an innovative spin-off in 1981, combining the quality and know-how of Dikkers with modern, flexible production. From the start, HP Valves focused on the design and production of high-pressure forged steel valves. In the years since, designs have been improved and the product portfolio has expanded in size, pressure classes and applications.
In June 2005 HP Valves became a subsidiary of Indutrade AB, a European group of companies organized into four business areas (Flow Technology, Engineering & Equipment, Industrial Components and Special Products) all offering high-quality industrial niche products.
Pushed by strong growth, HP Valves moved to a new facility in 2006 and this factory was extended in 2008. Since then, major investments were done in CNC machinery as well as assembly and testing equipment to support 24/7 production and keep pace with growing demand.
After years of cooperation, in 2009 the Korean valve manufacturer Key Valve Technologies Ltd. has been acquired to further develop and strengthen both companies’ position as well-known and highly respected suppliers, providing a complete range of medium and high-pressure valves.
