I-Photonics - Compact PIAD Coater for Research and Small Scale Production
The ORTUS 700 is a highly compact Plasma Ion Assisted Deposition (PIAD) coater that offers the full flexibility of the ORTUS platform. It is designed for research and development as well as small scale production. The system features a dome diameter of 620 mm and allows for the installation of various substrate holders. It supports a range of technological devices, including electron beam evaporation with three different sizes (EV M-6, EV M-8, EV M-10) and customizable crucibles. The unit also includes cleaning and assistance sources, like an End-Hall ion source with ion current density up to 1 mA/cm², suitable for precise application requirements. An accelerator with an anode layer achieves higher ion current densities. Additional components include a resistance evaporation source and an optical process monitoring system. For thermal processing, substrate heating systems with IR lamps and tubular heaters are available, enhancing the coater's versatility for diverse deposition needs.

The LIDIZ 700 by I-Photonics is an advanced IBS coater designed for producing sophisticated optical interference coatings, such as band pass filters, multispectral filters, beam splitters, and ultra low-loss laser mirrors. Its design incorporates versatile substrate holders, a load-lock system, and a high-precision automated optical monitoring system, making it adaptable to various IBS applications. The system allows for high film purity and maintains stable deposition rates with minimal optical losses. Coating substrates can include diverse materials like glass ceramics and optical glass, with deposition uniformity up to ±0.25% for planetary substrates. It supports a broad range of sputtering targets, including elements like Ti, Ta, and Nb, with a coating rate of up to 5 Å/s, depending on the material. The LIDIZ 700 ensures optimal performance with parameters like substrate heating uniformity at ± 2 °C, ultimate pressure at 2E-5 Pa, and various pumping options.

The LIDIZ 1100 IBS Coater employs Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) technology, designed for producing optical interference coatings of exceptional precision and quality. This equipment is particularly suitable for applications such as laser optics, high-power lasers, laser gyroscopes, and various AR/HR filters. Its robust build boasts an installation area of 3490 x 2730 x 2460 mm and weighs 5500 kg. The coater features an RF Grid IBS with RF neutralizer source, ensuring a uniform coating distribution. It supports substrates with materials like glass ceramics, achromatic optical glass, and more. The system is equipped with an automatic optical monitoring system, offering versatility in process control. Capable of achieving coating rates up to 4 Å/sec, it ensures consistent performance at substrate temperatures below 100°C. The LIDIZ 1100 thus stands out as an effective solution for high-precision coating needs in advanced optical and laser applications.
