This sensor is designed to survive in sulfides, cyanides and ammonia environments often found in Mines, Concentrators and Refineries. It is bigger and more rugged (shown in the left and right) than a conventional pH sensors (shown in the middle) and lasts 3 to 5 times longer. The patented `solid polymer` pH reference design is used to give fast response and long life even with constantly fluctuating temperature, pressure, oily coatings and poisoning ions. This submersible sensor is compatible with many existing installations and analyzers. The sensor body is CPVC (or optional PVDF) with the sensing electrode encapsulated with a PPS liner for prolonged reliability. For submersion, it mounts on a 3/4` FNPT thread in the end of a support pipe or it can be suspended from it`s lead.

Benefits for Pure Water Measurement; Close spacing between sensor components sharply reduces high impedence and ion effects for stable pH readings. Small internals allow low-flow with fast pH response.

The sensor assembly is designed to work with the electronics package located in a junction box above the liquid level. The assembly is completely encapsulated and comes with a standard 3 meter (10 foot) lead. This setup achieves a reliability not previously associated with submersion pH measurement.

The IC Controls model 606 was designed to provide reliable pH measurement in demanding applications where pressure cannot be reduced to zero for electrode removal. The IC Controls models 605 and 617 also can handle the service. However, for safety reasons, some users prefer a positive anti-blowout lip that cannot pass through the insertion gland. The 606 provides that lip and optional safety lanyards for the ultimate double-safe design.

The model 625 quick-union in-line pH sensor is offered in an easy-to-install configuration for insertion or submersion applications. The union-style threaded fitting locks in the sensor for extra safety and very easy removal. The model 625 sensor is recommended for applications where frequent removal in tough application for calibration, cleaning or quality control checks is required.

The 617 replaceable pH cartridge is constructed from PVDF, with the electrode fully encapsulated for outstanding reliability on applications to 300 PSIG. It fits on a threaded retraction rod to move through the ball valve in/out of the process isolation chamber.

The 603 pH or ORP sensor body is made of polypropylene, with the electrode fully encapsulated for outstanding reliability on submersion applications. It mounts on a ¾ inch NPT thread in an insertion tee or fitting, and in the end of a 1` (2.54 cm) support pipe, or can be suspended from its lead. The 603 is compatible with many existing installations, fittings and analyzers.
