Injection Strategies

IET`s patented injection trailer is built for the efficient delivery of remedial compounds to the subsurface in a controlled and safe manner. When paired with our in-house designed injection tooling, the result is the ability to introduce material into a variety of soil types. Both liquid and air feed systems result in the ability to target various soil types effectively that includes but is not limited to: sand, clay, silt, fractured rock and any combination of these. Its on-board components offer the controlled delivery of high viscosity mixtures at varied pressures and flow rates. These components include conical mixing tanks, generator, air compressor, air dryer/cooler, bulk water and air tanks, safety shower and eyewash station.

Soil Mixing

When a site is unsuitable for in-situ remedial material injection due to the high contamination present in the shallow, unsaturated zone, soil mixing can be employed to quickly reduce concentrations to below hazardous waste standards. The most common application of soil mixing is when soils are above the HAZ disposal limit and need to be reduced to minimize costs to the client for soil disposal.
