Our team has successfully remediated sites in a variety of geologic media including:
- glacial deposits,
- fluvial deposits,
- karst environments,
- fractured sedimentary and carbonate rock, and
- fractured metamorphic and igneous rock.
IRSL’s experience includes working in areas of wide water table fluctuations including tidally influenced hydrogeologic settings as well as in highly saline areas.
Our senior staff have served on numerous technical committees for the Canadian and American Federal Governments and have taught courses on the remediation of impacted soil and groundwater at numerous universities and colleges as well as conducted workshops and seminars at various international conferences and professional organizations.
Permitting
IRLS has extensive experience in preparing and applying for permits in a number of jurisdictions across North America, Brazil and the Middle East.
In Canada, IRSL staff have successfully applied for permits and/or approval for the in situ remediation in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
For our Ontario clients we have Mobile Certificates of Approval (C of A) for a wide variety of in situ remediation methods including:
