Explosion & Experimental Investigations Service
Testing of the Type of Protection: Proof of the Dust and Water Type of Protection according to DIN EN 60529, IP 54 up to IP 66, IP 67 and IP 68 (IP68 only for cable fittings).
Determination of Safety Characteristics of Combustible Substances Service
For safe use of combustible substances as well as for the design of explosion-protected equipment and protective systems the knowledge of properties, which are described by safety characteristics, is required. These characteristics are no physical constants, but conventional quantities. The reproducibility and the comparability of these values are closely linked with special determined testing procedures.
Expert services, Explosion protection document / Safety reports and Experts opinions Service
Safety assessments: The objective of the service of IBExU, as an industry partner, is the protection of human beings, of real values as well as the environment against the hazards generated by accidents. Among other things, safety assessments for ensuring of plant and process safety as well as accident prevention serve to this objective.
Testing Authority for Blasting Accessories
IBExU Institut für Sicherheitstechnik is acknowledged according to “UVV Sprengarbeiten (VBG 46)” (Blasting works) by “Steinbruchs-Berufsgenossenschaft” (Quarry-Statutory Accident Insurance Institution) and by “Sächsisches Oberbergamt” (Saxon Superior Board of the Mines) as Testing authority for testing and investigations in regular intervals of Blasting accessories.
Research & Development Service
IBExU Institut für Sicherheitstechnik GmbH, as a research institution, works by the order of companies and industry associations, in public interest as well as in cooperation with other institutions (as universities) in research and development projects. This serves also the improvement of innovation and effectiveness of the scientific-technical services.
