We are pleased to present the World Congress 2022 Final Program. It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the IDA World Congress 2017 on Water Reuse and Desalination, which will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, October 15-20, 2017.Since its first Congress in 1985, the IDA World Congress has been recognized as the premier global event in the desalination and water reuse industry. The Congress offers exceptional opportunities to expand your knowledge of current and emerging desalination and water reuse technologies. Participants include end users (utilities), researchers, consultants, academia and manufacturers and suppliers of complete systems and components (inclusive of chemicals and materials). IDA is committed to the development and promotion of the appropriate use of desalination and desalination technology as a critical part of the solution to address the world’s water problems.
IDA 2015 World Congress on Desalination
The two-day international conference to be held in Santa Margherita, Portofino, Italy, May 17-19, 2015, will be held in cooperation with the Rotary Club La Spezia and part of the conference proceeds will be donated to a water-related humanitarian project. The conference is centered on the social responsibility that we all have towards future generations and the need for innovation to generate new and ever more environmentally friendly options to support water needs. The agenda will focus primarily on new horizons for the development of desalination and water treatment technology that will enable the development and implementation of renewable desalination and the pursuit of more sustainable options.
This year’s global water summit will focus on these four themes. In bringing together government and utilities leaders, senior executives from across the global water industry, pivotal corporate water users and investors, the ambition is not to dream. It is a revolution in the role of water in the global economy. It may be happening anyway. In ten or twenty years we will be living in a very different world from a water perspective, but how much longer can you live under Adam Smith’s Paradox of Value? The purpose of high level events like the Global Water Summit, which bring together all the key players in an industry, is to accelerate change.
New to the program this year is the Poster Session and Student Best Poster Award. Join us for the Joint CAWASA One-day Pre-Conference Workshop, “Disinfection Solution” held on Tuesday 24th June 2014. This Workshop includes: What is Water Disinfection, How Does Disinfection Work and Factors that Influence Water Disinfection. Separate registration fee is required.
For 2014, the Global Water Summit returns to Paris, France - Europe’s long-established centre of trade and culture. The theme is growth and will focus on water`s key role in economic recovery and its development as we move towards 2050.We`ll see what we can learn from Asia, where India and China have experienced phenomenal growth in recent years and we`ll take a special look at the oil and gas industry and the opportunities for energy and water reuse. We`ll study the crucial role of water in every part of life, for our communities and for our businesses. In particular, we`ll look at the future of our cities and how leadership and international cooperation can play a vital part in securing economic and social stability.
