Where it Began

InterTest, Inc., formerly known as EMCO, started as a two-man business in a loft above a garage in 1981. The original founder Bill Habermann represented manufacturers of NDT equipment in the northeastern United States. Seeing the demand for innovation in testing equipment, techniques, and support apparatus, they began engineering remote visual inspection (RVI) solutions for customers.

After steady NDT & RVI divisional growth through the 1980s, InterTest marked another milestone with the appointment of Tom Daly as Sales Manager in 1990.

Growth & Experience

Along side adding talented engineers and expert technicians, Tom and Bill grew InterTest into a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor of RVI and NDT equipment.

The hands on experience in field services, integration of inspection systems, and development of new products set InterTest apart from the competition as a premiere visual solutions business.

Present & Future

Today, InterTest reamins a global leader in visual solutions in the RVI space. Headquartered in Columbia, New Jersey USA, their 12,000 sqaure-foot modern facility houses state-of-the-art manufacutring and labratory testing equipment. Combined with their years of application experience, InterTest has all the resources to meet the needs of our customers.
