Isoformix is a biotech company focusing on the development of next generation Mass Spectrometry (MS) protein clinical tests. Mass Spectrometry has played an important role in protein biomarker discovery, yet only few MS protein biomarker tests have been translated into clinical laboratories. While cost and complexity are impeding their clinical adoption, protein isoforms/proteoforms detection could drive the proliferation of these MS tests – first in clinical utility studies, and then for routine diagnostics. Isoformix is developing a suite of MS protein tests targeting protein biomarkers that exhibit clinically significant proteoforms. These assays are affordable, high-throughput, and run on MALDI MS platforms with high sensitivity and resolution.
