Accelerometers
ISTI - Accelerometers
The GEOfba200 (Fig. 1 - 3) is a very low-noise triaxial force-balance accelerometer with a large dynamic range, suitable for seismology, hazard mitigation and civil engineering applications. The instrument has both a flat response to ground acceleration from DC to 215 Hz and a stable phase response within the passband. Output range is 40Vpp differentially and supports variety range of gain sets from +/-4g to +/-0.25g in the standard configuration and availability for higher gain set under request.
ISTI - Strong Motion Acceleration Sensors
The SM550 and SM1500 (Fig. 4 - 6) are two MEMS type, three-component acceleration sensors. Both have wide frequency response. The SM1500 model provides response from DC to 750 Hz, while the SM550 model provides response from DC to 50 Hz. Many output ranges are available for both models: +/-2 g, +/-4 g, +/-5 g, +/-6 g, +/-10 g, +/-12 g. Default sensitivity is 2.4 V/g for the SM1500, and 1.2 V/g for the SM550.
Digitizers - GEObit Digitizer and Recorders
ISTI - Low Power Digitizer/Recorder
GEObit introduces the GEOsix series high-resolution 6+1 analog seismic channels telemetry digitizer/recorder. The size of the instrument is only 168 x 106 x 68 mm. The power consumption is only 1.2 W for 6 channels. The available sampling rate is 100 to 500 SPS/6ch, 100 to 1000 SPS/3ch, and optional lower sampling intervals are supported. A built-in GPS receiver combined with an ultra-accurate DPLL unit, providing time drift 10e-9 sec, ensures timing stability even in the absence of a GPS signal. NTP timing is also available. The unit is very flexible and accepts several types of analog front end units so that any type of seismic sensor can be connected. Additionally, it provides eight extra-low resolution and rate analog inputs for seismometer mass position monitoring, or any other environmental parameter monitoring.
ISTI - Low Power Seismic Digitizer / Recorder
GEObit introduces the GEOthree series high resolution 3+1 analog seismic channels telemetry digitizer/recorder. The size of the instrument is only 168 X 106 X 68 mm. The power consumption is only 0.9 W for 3 channels. The available sampling rate is 100 to 1000 SPS and optional lower sampling rates are supported. A built-in GPS receiver combined with an ultra-accurate DPLL unit, providing time drift 10e-9 sec, ensures timing stability even in the absence of a GPS signal. NTP timing is also available. ISTI - Portable Seismic Stations
GEObit provides compact solutions for quick-deploy seismic stations based on the GEOThree digitizer/recorder and C100 sensor. The GEOThree recorder has 3 input channels and integrated sensor electronics. The digitizer is based on a powerful, wide dynamic range 32bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter, with very low noise characteristics and excellent power supply rejection. The sampling rate can be set to 50, 100, 200, 250, 500, and 1000 samples per second. The sensor response is 10sec – 98Hz. The data are stored into removable microSD card. Ultra low power consumption allows over one month of operation if getting powered from an ordinary 12V/65Ah lead-acid battery. The LCD displays the State-of-Health, time, date, and other information related to the instrument’s operation. The digitizer is intended for installation in harsh environments. The instrument supports embedded SEEDlink server for real time data telemetry.
