contact analyse fo sealing areas (especially for metal seated systems)
gap analysis (e.g. for sealing grooves)

Stress/Strain Measurement

Especially for critical areas the stress/strain measurement by strain gauges is used:
experimental detection of strains and stresses
verification of the results of finite element analysis
